Background

Apuna Pharmax is a one person company, founded in January 2017. The company provides customer-oriented services based on scientific and pharmaceutical expertise.

I am graduated as Master and Doctor of Pharmacy. I have international experience from research period and work experience from different pharmacies.

PharmD – Social Pharmacy:

I did my doctoral studies in the Osteoporosis Risk Factor and Prevention Study –project in the University of Eastern Finland in co-operation with Kuopio University Hospital and Australian Geelong Osteoporosis research team (GOS). I studied the association between antidepressants, life satisfaction, depression and bone using the data from postal enquiries, measurements and registers. I used statistical methods in the analysis of epidemiological data. You can find my thesis here.

MPharm – Pharmaceutical Chemistry:

In my master´s graduate work I designed the synthesis of the ligands, performed the chemical syntheses and purifications and analyzed the final products using for example NMR spectroscopy. The topic of the work was ”The function of the Constitutive Androstane Reseptor (CAR), ligands influencing to it and the synthesis of the ligands.”

International experience

I included to my doctoral studies a 3-month period in Australia, where I used the data from Geelong Osteoporosis Study and made statistical research in co-operation with Geelong University and Barwon Health Hospital.
